The Stahlwerk Tig AC/DC Welder 200 Amp ST has practical functions such as smart cooling and integrated overheating protection. When TIG welding, the contactless HF ignition enables comfortable work and better welding results. The advance and follow-up of the welding gas can be individually adjusted to protect the tungsten electrode from wear and prevent oxidation of the weld seam.

Device features & benefits

• 2T/4T (TIG) – determines operating mode control and provides advanced control over current flow. In 2T mode, the high-frequency ignition (HF) remains active until the button on the torch is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing again, the ignition is stopped. Some functions such as power reduction are only possible in the 4T.
• Current reduction – prevents the formation of voids (end craters) at the end of the weld seam.
• Gas pre- and post-travel (TIG) – protect the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and protect the weld seam from oxidation. The parameters can be set individually and separately. They indicate how long gas should flow before and after ignition. Stahlwerk Tig AC/DC Welder 200 Amp.

• AC balance – is a variable setting between breaking up the oxide layer (-) and deeper penetration (+). This helps to influence the properties of different materials and alloys.
• Hotstart – Automatic voltage increase at start for better ignition results.
• Anti-Stick – Automatic shutdown of the welding current if the electrode sticks allows for easy removal.
• TIG (tungsten inert gas) – inert gas welding with inert/inactive gases such as argon 4.6 (99.996%). An arc is created in an argon bell between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece. This melts the material and any additional material that may be added. A weld seam is created.
• MMA electrode welding / ARC welding – a universal welding process. An electric arc melts the electrode, forming the weld seam. No protective gas is required.
